Community Heritage Access Centre (CHAC), Yeovil

Have you ever wondered where objects are stored? Visit by appointment to see anything from gloves, industrial machinery and paintings, to poison bottles and guns.

Telling the story of Yeovil and South Somerset, CHAC gives you a rare opportunity to go behind the scenes and explore a museum store.

Traditionally Yeovil has had a rich past of industry and has an important role to play in the history of South Somerset. CHAC’s collections reflect this and range from an extensive photo archive, local history, archaeology and even an internationally significant firearms collection.

Don’t Miss!

A collection of football memorabilia relating to the ‘Giant Slayers’, Yeovil Football Club. The club takes its nickname ‘the Glovers’ from the local gloving industry.
